Don’s Daily Planet was created as an idea for discussing topics that are interesting, thought provoking, and challenge the reader to engage and think outside the proverbial box.
Myself, well I’m a proud Detroiter who grew up in a working class neighborhood where everyone knew and looked out for one another. As a lover of sports I played baseball and football from sun up to when the streetlights came on during my pre-teen and teenage years. I had hopes of becoming a professional baseball player but life took me in a different direction. Of course I still follow my beloved Tigers (and sad sack Lions) to this day.
I’m a Marygrove College grad with a B.A. in Computer Science, and I currently work as an IT project manager with an auto manufacturer (after all, I am from the motor city).
My likes, well…I enjoy traveling, love sci-fi, a huge James Bond fan (Sean Connery of course), a news junkie, a bit of a geeky nerd, been part of investment clubs, enjoy miniature football (this ain’t your daddy’s electric football. Check out the MFCA), running an occasional 5K, and of course trying my hand at blogging…again!
My dislikes…cold weather, ergo I try to travel to warm weather destinations often.
These days, you’ll find me working hard to be a citizen of the world.
